Design and implementation of a cycloconverter for variable-frequency AC signal generation

Course: Power Electronics

Design and implementation of a cycloconverter for variable-frequency AC signal generation. The system converts a fixed-frequency AC input into output waveforms with different frequencies through the controlled switching of power semiconductor devices. The project involved the design and implementation of the power circuit, switching control, waveform generation, and experimental evaluation of the resulting AC output signals at different operating frequencies.

Hardware Implementation and Experimental Results

PCB Design

PCB layout developed for the cycloconverter control and switching circuitry, integrating the connections required for the power semiconductor devices and control signals.
